Conservation Programs
Adopt a sea turtle nest on our beach! Once this nest hatches, you and some friends (up to 4 people) will be able to ride along to the nest excavation, where we will collect data and release any live hatchlings still in the nest (hatchlings are not guaranteed). This program runs from June - September.
Nest Adoption / Ride Along
Our nighttime turtle walk program (8:30 pm - midnight) includes a 30 minute presentation about our local sea turtle populations followed by a short walk to the beach to see a nesting loggerhead sea turtle (while it is the goal, we cannot guarantee a sea turtle will be observed). Recommended for ages 10+.
Program will be held Mondays and Thursdays in June 2023.
Nighttime Turtle Walk
Grab your friends, teammates, students, or coworkers and meet us at the beach. The 2-hour program includes a short sea turtle lesson (with real sea turtle artifacts and models), a beach clean up, and data collection. Supplies and water provided. Do you think your group can beat the record for most amount of trash cleaned?
Beach Clean Up
This after dark program consists of a sea turtle presentation all about the wonders and dangers of being a sea turtle hatchling! Afterwards we will go down to the beach to release healthy hatchlings into the ocean. No lights allowed during this program.
